Facebook Warning!

By Rodelio Lagahit

Now this one’s the most scariest email I got from Facebook by far. Thought Facebook is going to kick my ass for using their services for personal gains – well, everyone is doing it isn’t it? Anyway, a copy of that email is below of which I omitted the name of the fan page. The whole email is about my fan page hitting 101,000 ++ members.

Hello,

Our records indicate that you are currently the admin of a Facebook Page with a large number of fans. To ensure a positive user experience, we require admins of large Pages to confirm their affiliation with the brand, business, person, or entity that their Page represents. Please use the following link to authenticate your Page.

So, how to prevent Facebook from asking you to comply for their simple verification tool? (cough) (cough) Just don’t create a really big fan page site.. But isn’t it the reason why we joined and use Facebooks apps? I think the question would be, how did I do that? Tips will be coming in a little while because I had to nail a culture building program for my section. As they say, “when the boss is way, the staffs will play,” but mind you we only play using our brains to come up with a kick-ass web-app (processes) for the company and mission-critical programs for the human capital.

  • Hey did you solve the problem...i have got the same email..and i am worried what to do about it. It's a fan page of an artist, but the artist is long dead. So i am not sure if does or doesn't actually violate the rules
