Gunmen opened fire in at least seven sites, including a train station, two five-star hotels, a hospital and a restaurant popular with tourists.
Sajjad Karim, an MEP for the North West of England who is in Mumbai, told the BBC he had seen a gunman opening fire in the lobby of Taj Mahal hotel.

The attackers targeted several locations including a train station, a restaurant and two luxury hotels, reports said.

Police said at least 10 people were killed in gunfire at the Chhatrapati Shivaji railway station.

Gunmen, some armed with automatic weapons, had fired indiscriminately at people, they said.
