So it’s my birthday today… and I’m glad that I’m already 26 years old.. well, quite an achievement these days knowing the fact that the moment we were born we’re old enough to die. I was also thinking of celebrating today but with the budget constraints it’s not practical. In fact, i’m also thankful that it falls on the holy week. Anyway, today i’ll make it a point to drop by at a nearby church, in this way i could personally thank God for this wonderful blessing that he has given to me.

Empty

Actually, i feel so empty this time. No cakes, candles, food and no someone to talk with. How boring! Anyway, I know most of my colleagues can accommodate me when I need someone to converse with, but sometimes its not enough. Well, I guess it’s but normal to all of us earthlings. We’ve never been contented of what we have presently. Sometimes I tend to concluded that contention is relative to “old age”. Some might claim that they are now contented with what life has offered them but the reality is, if these people never gets old you’ll always see them confined in the office or pushing their businesses to unimaginable boundaries. See? Poor logic I suppose. Anyway, good thing God created such cycle to balance nature.

Food

If I’m not mistaken, I only have one birthday cake for my entire 26 yrs. of existence. I don’t know if my parents did celebrate my birthday with a cake when I was like 1 - 5 yrs. old, but then again, as far as I could remember my 24th birthday was my first and last birthday cake. How lucky I was at that time to receive a birthday cake from a special someone. I was really happy at that time coz t’was my first time to get a cake. Woww! Picture perfect! Anyway, I’m also thankful to her for spearheading my 24th birthday. T’was really fun and it really made me cry. I just hope she’ll be very happy to someone else’s arms this time. I wish you all the best elena.

Moreover, I was also thinking of buying a cake for me after office hours but that’s way to boring. It would be great if I got someone with me, but I don’t know if it’s possible. I can’t just drag someone to accompany to a cake shop and celebrate with me. It’s Holy week remember and catholics are stuck with their rituals. Anyway, I’m so thankful already that i’ve reached this age and I”m glad that a few people noticed that it’s my birthday today although my demands for my birthday never materialized (jeans).
