Student wounded in shooting at Arkansas university

The shooting happened at about 2:00 pm (1900 GMT), university spokeswoman Joan Duffy said. The student was apparently able to continue walking after he was shot, but was taken to a local hospital, she said. AFP

This is the second shooting that happened in a school campus within a month. NUI incident was still fresh and here comes another news. Although it’s considered to be an isolated incident but still it’s worth dissecting our existing security measures.

In addition, University officials don’t know whether the shooters or victim were students.

   From my psychology readings, such school incidents stem mostly from the gunman’s peer pressure or his unsuccessful try with “the need to belong”. Poor students.

   Also, these things remind us that there are good reasons to decide not to immigrate to the US (next to fortunately not having a 5% chance everyday to meet a tornado face-to-face).

   hahahaha.. :).. well, filipino’s are still stuck on the promise of gold.. i could still recall our neighbor who’ve been bragging eversince that he’ll be going to the u.s and work as a scavenger coz what he collects is worth dollars.. i was 10 yrs. old at that time..but until now he haven’t migrated yet..
