“Dallas Police Department Web site was shut down Monday night after a hacker took over the site with anti-American rants.” FoxNews

The linked page at Fox News includes a representation (with vulgarities removed) of the texts that the hackers placed on the web page, beginning, “You, Americans, are really stupid if you can’t see that occurs in the world and in your own country!”
According to them the Russian hacker also posted a fabricated photograph showing American troops watching over four people lined up against a wall.
“Each of the four prisoners had lines leading away from their faces to individual head shots of President Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Sen. John McCain, according to Dallas-Fort Worth television station KTVT.”

“My understanding is that no internal police data has been affected,” police spokesman Lt. Vernon Hale said. Moreover, their department of technology staff has been working on it to get their site up.
But according to other web enthusiast “dallas police got owned. it was most likely done by a google hack. they are lucky if all they did was deface the website. again if it was a real hack no one would know about it. the page would have stayed the same. as they were stealing more and more info. maybe now they will worry a little less about baggie pants hanging down past peoples butts, and focus on more importin matters I dought it.”
